Song of Hope for Humanness Our Existence is known. By us. One Existence. One Knower. One Us. Such Knowingness, Who owns? From the thought of ownership, Our separation is born. Our senses are restricted, And fears of the other Sow the bombs of violence . But we must return. A long trek, Slippery slopes, down and Up Up and down. We learn and we forget, Yet we have gained altitude. The glistening of the light we seek, Allures us As it reflects On the snow covered peak. It appears dim Only because Our attention has swayed By a phony reflection In a shiny mirror. The mirror of unknowing. The light of hope Is in the silence, Even if we do not feel it. May we not wait For the world to turn, But dissolve our differences, In the Knowingness That keeps us together. One Shining Humanity!
