Meditation tools

Hello all, Namaste. I am wondering if any here uses any tools, specifically meditation stools/chairs. Some times, due to knee surgeries, I can't really sit on the ground very long and it really interrupts my sessions. I have tried sitting in a regular chair but for whatever reason it seems "wrong". I am looking into a few different seats/cushions and if you use anything like that, I would love to hear your thoughts, good or bad, on what you use. Thanks in advance.

The point of sadhana is contemplation, not posture. So whatever posture is best for allowing you to sit for long periods of time in contemplation is best. With that said, lying down is usually not recommended since one tends to just go to sleep in that position.
