Greetings: My name is Anthony Billings. I am from California, but have lived in Thailand for the last six years. I have done graduate work in Asian Philosophy and Religion and was an English teacher for many years. I am excited about this site of Dr. Timalsima, which has so many profound and foundational courses. I am currently following the Devi Mahatmya course. I was formerly a Theravadin Buddhist and was working on a Ph.D in that field, but now I am investigating many forms of Hinduism, currently Sri Vidya, Saiva Siddhanta, Kashmir Shaivism, and of course, the many texts of the Vimarsha Foundation. I also have recently discovered Idealism in Western Philosophy, especially through the work of Bernardo Kastrup, and also quantum physics. These disciplines seem to complement each other. I am also a practitioner, using mostly japa, mantra, bhakti, and awareness meditation. This website is so great and at a very low cost. I wonder if there is anything on Facebook that I could not find here. I am currently not a member of FB. I first saw Dr. Timalsima on Youtube in a debate with Swami Sarvapriyananda. I did look for other teachers in the Tantric tradition, but gradually realized that he is supremely knowledgeable and accessible. I look forward to participating on this site. Thank you.
