What comes afterwards?
Has anyone completed the 6 months practise? What happens after that? Was there a ceremony? Is there personal guidance and doubt-clearing? Are contributions requested as a formal disciple? Did you feel better afterwards?
It feels like there are people out here milling about and trying to do sadhana and move closer to realization of the Divine. Some disappear, never to be heard from again. Have they been "sucked up" into the spiritual stratosphere beyond initiation, or do they just kind of drift off looking for a different kind of engagement or practise?
Does anyone know?

Just as a quick bit of context, these forums are mostly dedicated to fielding questions from those who are not yet initiated. After initiation, people gain access to private initiate-only channels with all the Kula members and Ācāryajī, which is where almost all of the activity occurs. There are vibrant conversations, discussions, sharing of insights, research, translations, people learning Sanskrit, recitations, so much more. So, your observation is totally right: what you see here is (by design) a bit of a space for milling about, until people get "sucked up" to use your nice term, into the channels for the Kula.
