Japa Counter
I have two questions:
Does anyone use a digital japa counter? I want to keep track of my daily japa . I use a mala but for a single 108 round would it be better to use a counter or attach traditional counters to the mala beads?

Great question! The digital japa counters are definitely discouraged within Vimarsha! Why? There are material properties of the malas that matter and the dividing of attention between the various components of sādhanā, including the recitation of the mantra and the movement of the beads along the string and any other features (like visualization of a deity) is all intentionally part of the process. There are several detailed videos on these topics available post-initiation.
