Sankhya
I'm partway through the "Sarvamnaya Rahasya and Tantra Sadhana: Hindi Course".
In the video entitled "Course 4" from 30:00, Acharyji discusses Sankhya philosophy, which he mentions is foundational to the Agamas and, I extrapolate, therefore to Tantric practice.
I've been studying Sankhya for a few years, and the ultimate aim of the two highest tattvas in Sankhya, as is set out in the Sankhyakarika of Isvarakrisna, has been bothering me. Namely, this verse:

Acharyaji describes the goal of Sankhya as Kaivaliya. This is the detachment of Purush from Prakriti. This is also the goal in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. It just did not, and does not, sit right with me. The Sankhyakarika verses 62 and 63 go on to say, in essence, that Purusha is never really bound or liberated, but it is actually Prakriti that binds herself, by herself, and it is she who liberates herself for the sake of Purusha.
I've meditated on Avyakta, unmanifested Prakriti, in the mistaken belief that I could somehow unlock the meaning of the above-mentioned verses through MulaPrakriti putting the answer in my head or revealing it in my life. How delusional of me! It is only just now, having seen this part of Achayaji's video, that a huge weight has been lifted from my head. I took the Sankhyakarika as a 100% correct description/sketch of the structure of Reality. Acharyji says no. The seperation of Purusha and Prakriti is not the goal for Tantriks. At the absolute level of Ultimate Reality, they are not seperated. Shiva and Shakti are one.
How easily one can be misled, having good intentions, trust in the scriptures, and zero guidance. In my heart, I feel like I can now move forwards. I just wanted to express my relief and gratitude.

Thanks for sharing that. 🙏
