Mātr̥kā visualization - orientation of petals
Dear sadhakas, I would appreciate the following clarification:
I was told that the cakras, as "wheels", need to be thought of not vertically (as a wall clock, say, or a "medal" hanging on the surface of our body) but horizontally (as a pizza, to put it bluntly), within the confines of the body, with the central channel traversing their center. I was wondering then if that's the principle we should be following in the Mātr̥kā visualization practice. Which would mean that the "six o'clock" positions is literally on my back side, and that the flower, like a lotus, is facing upwards. Thanks. A.

I was inspired to try and draw something out, here is what I have so far. I just stacked them from a top down view, and I think I want to rotate the petals of some if not all of them so that center petals are aligned to 6 and 12 rather then the border between petals. 🤔
Any thoughts?
