THE ESSENCE OF VEDIC & TANTRIC SADHANA

Beginning with the question, "Who art Thou?" (कासि त्वं महादेवीति) and culminating in the declaration of the Goddess as the highest principle (यस्याः परतरं नास्ति सैषा दुर्गा प्रकीर्तिता), the profound Devī Atharvaśīrṣa is revered by all serious spiritual seekers, regardless of tradition. Standing at the confluence of the Vedic, Tantric, and Purāṇic streams, it reveals Śakti through the Vedic revelation, unfolds the heart of the Sarvāmnāya teachings, and distills the essential wisdom of the Devī Māhātmya.

The text synthesizes both practice & philosophy, codifying bīja mantras while also expounding the highest nondual vision. Rooted in the worship of the Divine Mother, the text serves as both a devotional hymn and a guide to spiritual realization.

Over five days, Ācārya Dr. Sthaneshwar Timalsina will offer a close reading of the text, illuminating its linguistic, ritual, and philosophical dimensions, drawing upon both traditional commentarial insights and living streams of practice.

About the Teacher:

Ācārya Dr. Sthaneshwar Timalsina embodies the rare meeting of traditional lineage and contemporary scholarship. Consecrated with Sarvādhikāra–Sarvasāmrājya Dīkṣā and authorized as a Śaivācārya, he holds a living lineage of transmission and serves as the Endowed Chair of Indic Studies at Stony Brook University, New York.
